The Cloud Engineer Launchpad is highly structured and designed to give you the best chance to succeed.
Prerequisites – Week 0 (IT Fundamentals)
A one-week onboarding sprint to level-set on computing concepts — networking, OS basics, cloud models (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), binary, and how the internet works. No one is left behind.
Cloud Fundamentals – Weeks 1-2 (AWS)
Learn core AWS services (IAM, VPCs, S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch) using both the console and CLI. Build real infrastructure as you prepare for the AWS Cloud Practitioner and Solutions Architect – Associate.
Python for Cloud Engineers – Weeks 3-4
Get hands-on with Python fundamentals, scripting patterns, and Boto3. Build your first serverless application using AWS Lambda and API Gateway. No prior coding experience required.
Linux & Shell Mastery – Weeks 5-6
Master the terminal: permissions, filesystems, processes, networking, bash scripting, and hardening. Everything a cloud engineer needs to be confident in a Linux environment.
Week 11: Capstone Planning + Career Strategy
Plan your final project and begin building your personal brand. You'll choose your capstone project topic, set architecture goals, and begin polishing your CV and LinkedIn.
Infrastructure as Code with Terraform – Weeks 7-8
Build reusable infrastructure using Terraform. Create modules, manage remote state, and deploy real AWS environments through automation.
Week 12: Capstone Delivery & Interview Prep
Deliver your cloud project and practice whiteboard interviews, STAR stories, and technical Q&A. Finish with confidence and a portfolio project to show employers.

Containers & Kubernetes – Weeks 9-10
From Docker to EKS — build, run, and scale containerised workloads. Learn Helm, services, deployments, and GitOps using ArgoCD.
Job Club and Career Advice - Weeks 34 +
Graduation isn’t the finish line, so we roll straight into an open-ended “Job Club” that treats landing your first (or next) cloud role like a team sport. Weekly live clinics walk you through polishing a keyword-rich LinkedIn profile, writing CVs that showcase your new certs and capstone architecture diagram, crafting concise STAR stories for behavioural interviews, and negotiating offers with confidence. The aim is simple: translate your freshly minted skills and solo portfolio app into a compelling professional brand.
